Troy Taylor FAQs/Rules

I'm sure that I am not the only one disturbed by the questions being asked in the TTU chat on a regular basis now. It hasn't always been like that. Now with the rush of new people taking interest in TTU without any prior knowledge of what's really going on, we must do something about it.

Well a few TTU members and I, whom are all fed up with all the nonsense, came up with a FAQs (frequently asked questions) page. I mean it’s only right to avoid all the anger and make the next TTU chat a peaceful one (DOUBT IT). But it’s a hope and a wish.

Authors note: I did not post these FAQs & Rules to get on people. I created them to save people from the harshness from the personalities in class. You can take this as a warning, or however you want to take it. If you don't listen, then thats on you. If you don't like them, keep that to yourself, because I don't care. Troy likes them and thats all I got to say. I'm trying to help you. It is what it is.

FYI FOR THE SLOW POKES ... THE NUMBERED QUESTIONS ARE NOT RULES .. THEY ARE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS...GEESH...

FAQs: annoying questions that have been complied together because they have been asked a lot. Troy is not the type who likes to repeat himself.

1. "Who is you(Troy Taylor)?" Well there has to be a reason why you are there. How'd you get the link in the first place without knowing who he is. Do your homework first if you're an actual Trey fan.

2. "Where is Trey?" Not in Troy's back pocket. If he's not right beside him, then don't ask. Chances are Trey will keep you updated on where he is on Twitter. Keep up.

3. "Are you married?" No he is not. And I'm sure he's tired of saying that.

4. "But you have a ring on your finger." That ring is not on his wedding finger. It's on the opposite hand.

5. "How old are you?" UGH....he's 41. If you don't know, just don't ask. Ages shouldn't be the focus of the chat anyway. We are here to learn about music right?

6. "Where are you from?" Connecticut.

7. "Why aren't you a singer?" Because he doesn't want to be...he's doing what he desires. He sings when he wants on background vocals. The music industry is pretty shifty anyway.

8. "Who is SK?" You must not have Anticipation if you don't know who SK is. He's another Songbook producer.

9. "Can you play *song*?" Um, if it's on his CDs or Anticipation, you'd BETTER be asking for an acapella version. Otherwise...PLAY IT YOUR DAMN SELF.

10. "Is that *song* gonna be on Ready?" He will talk about Ready when its time for Ready. Right now he's not talking about it.

11. "How can I get on Songbook?" Troy isn't looking for new artists. His only focus is Trey

12. "How long have you known Trey?" (Directed at Troy) Since he was 14 or 15. Go listen to Genesis. And listen back to one of the TTU broadcasts. He talks about it on there. He helped him get into the biz.

13. "What is songbook?" Lord help whoever asks that question.

14. "What other artists are you working with besides Trey?" None. He's focused on Trey's career right now and nobody else's.

15. "What are you drinking?" Water.You want some? Troy does not drink alcohol.

16. "What happened with you and your ex wife?" None of your damn business.

17. "What happened to heels on?" The title has changed and you won't know the title until Ready is ready.

18. "What is Genesis?" Are you serious? Who are you? Must not be a fan.

19. "Where are you?" In Trey's basement in ATL duh.

20. "Do you have any kids?" Yeah a son ...geez

21. "When is Trey coming to (Insert city here)?" He doesn't know. He is not Trey's manager.

22. "How tall are you?" He's 5'6", but you really don't need to know that.

Now that we got all those questions out of the way, we found some extra rules to add to the list. So pay attention and don't get caught doing these things. Be a good student now.


RULES:: HERE THEY ARE RIGHT HERE, CAN U SEE??

Rule: Do NOT say Troy is mean. He's just real.

Rule: Stop chatting while Troy is talking or while he's playing songs. He doesn't want to talk/listen and answer questions at the same time. We seen this in the chat on Thursday. It was the main reason why he ended class. No one was paying attention. Well some were and others weren't.

Rule: You got to focus. When he opens the floor for questions, thats when you can ask them. Don't keep asking them while he's playing music. There's a time and a place for everything.

Rule: No cursing in the chat. Do not type them at all so he won't have to read them to himself. He's saved, he no longer curses.

Rule: Do not spam your question. Wait until he's looking at the screen to post your question or wait until he asks for questions. Like I said, there is a time and place for everything. And you will get your time to get seen.

Rule: Do not come in the chat trying to promote yourself. If it's business talk, do not contact him through the chat. You find some other way to do it. Be professional.

Rule: Do not come in the chat promoting your music. No one will check it out. That is not the focus.

Rule: If Troy is not following you, don't bash him for not following you. It's not his fault. Just mention it nicely. No need to be mean about it.

Rule: Troy is a busy man. Do not complain when he doesn't hit you back within the next 24 hours. Cut him some slack. Unlike the rest of us, he has important stuff to do dealing with Trey. Let him handle his business. He doesn't ignore people on purpose. So don't think that. He will get back at you when he's able.

Rule: Once Troy stops talking about something, that's a cue for you to stop talking about it. No need to go on and on about it. Listen to the man when he speaks, then respond and let it be done.

Rule: We won't follow if we don't care about what you have to say. So say something constructive now, throw out the follows later, and if we care, we'll follow. Or not.

This is not fair for the regular students who come to class to actually learn. There must be some control established. I don't know where it will come from, but we gotta start from somewhere. But we need everyone's help. Can't do this on our own.

Another Author's note

The only reason why these were made was because of all the things that were talked about in the chat. It's a better way of dealing with everything. In a way, it keeps people away from getting put on the spot, unless they like the spotlight. I mean if you really go back and look at all his videos and check what he says how he says it and his expressions, you'll know that he's tired of saying things. I, for the record, put all this shit together based on what people complained about. You might not take it seriously, but to others its serious. Some might not be as light hearted as you. And i'm not saying you follow these rules. Troy just links it to you so he doesn't have to get on you if you say something that he already talked about. The majority likes it. And if they like it, then so be it.
