Interesting | Black Barbie . . .

This is brought to you by the folks over at YBF.com

Mattel® announced yesterday the launch of So In Style™, a new line of black dolls by Barbie® featuring more authentic-looking facial features such as fuller lips, a wider nose, more distinctive cheek bones and curlier hair. Many folks are up in arms calling it overly stereotypical and isn’t good for little black girls’ psyche. Here’s a snippet from the press release:

So In Style™ (S.I.S.™) was developed and inspired by Barbie® designer of 12 years, Stacey McBride-Irby, an African-American mother of two who wanted to create a line of dolls more reflective of her daughter and community.

The So In Style™ line features Grace™, Kara™ and Trichelle™ dolls, three best friends who are all about fashion, fun and friendship. Each of the dolls features its own unique personality and style and reflects one of three varying skin tones. The S.I.S.™ line also introduces a mentoring theme; each doll is accompanied by a smaller doll or “little sister” and has different interests – from music and math to science and drill team. The big and little sister dolls are meant to introduce and inspire girls with mentoring themes.

MY thoughts: I think these Barbie's are goregous. I wish I had Barbie dolls like these when I was growing up. They fit out characteristics more than anything. I don't see anything stereotypical about them. If anything the Bratz dolls were stereotypical. I think its just that you can't satisfy everyone. Someone is going to complain about something. And what makes it worse is that its our own race complaining about dolls made just for us. WHO SIDE ARE YOU ON? *side eye* I hope by the time if I ever have children I have child that they will still be making these dolls for my daughter to play with. I just don't get some people. Always wanna complain. Just embrace and move on. You acting like they look horrible. They are beautiful.

Song Of The Day

I discovered this song on an episode of Bones, you know the show on Fox where a anthropologist solves crimes with a FBI agent. The episode is called "The Perfect Pieces in the Purple Pond." When I heard this song at the end of this episode, I was just, whats the word, captivated. The timing of the song came when they discovered skeletal remains. And this song is so ... light, in a sense, but played at a dark and ending moment. That's what made me love it so much. I just think the song is beautiful.

*sidenote* I find a lot of good music from watching TV shows. Whoever picks these songs out are good at their jobs.

WTF & LMFAO moment of the day

*whispers* The Robots are Coming . . .

Really tho, did I just laugh so hard at this that I almost fell out the chair. Maybe its just me. LOL. I found it funny, but its was like WTF! How that guy gonna stand there and get robot-sprayed on. Come on son!

A Poem | By Me

“6:36 a.m.”

Morning
Lavender skies
Crisp air
Alarm steady buzzing
Whispers of yawns
Heavy footsteps
Morning
The worst time of day
Half closed eyes
Forgotten dreams
Misguided motivation
“I have to get up”
Morning
The beat of slow hearts
Gaining speed
Plastered smiles
Mutters a few words
Sleep, a distant memory
Morning

*This is pretty short. I didn't have enough time to work on it. First got the idea for it last week, but didn't finish it. Five lines later its done, so whatever. LOL.

Tune in for tonight's episode at 8 p.m. I'll be watching.

I can't believe one of my favorite books is coming out with a movie. Sure, sometimes I don't like when directors and production companies stick their hands where they don't belong (i.e. great childrens' books), but I must say . . . I am very impressed. When I first seen the preview last week, during Heroes' premiere episode, I nearly jumped for joy. If there was any one kid-movie that I had to pick from to see, this would be the one. I'm gonna have to stake my claim over a kid and take em to the movies to see this. LOL.

A Nightmare on Elm Street in HD

Hot damn! I know I'm not into horror movies, but dammit this movie looks good. LOL. Plus I love me some Michael Bay movies. And I know people aren't in to remakes because they are so bad, but this is a remake done right. In the right hands, Michael Bay's, I know its gonna be a hit. Just look at this trailer. It looks very interesting and the set up (i.e. setting) looks perfect. I hope these actors are on point. I don't want them to disappoint you guys. LOL.

Song Of The Day

I found this song last night. Of course none of you were paying attention to my tweets when I talked about a song that I found that I thought was awesome. Well this is the song. I've never heard of her before last night. She has such a distinct voice. And this song is so beautiful, especially the chorus. When she sings "Do I" and holds that note, then it drops, I love that.

Note to Alicia . . .

So I hops on twitter and see two of my peeps talking about some stuff. KNOWING me, I hopped my sleepy ass into the conversation and decided to read up on this situation. This situation happens to be the AliciaMaShondaSwissgate. You know it, you heard it. Now read MaShonda's response to Alicia via twitter.

After having a great evening with my son and enjoying some fun twit chat, I decided to sign off and get some work done. However, a few hours later I was advised that I should check @aliciakeys twit page. I’ve never reached out to her on twitter before. I feel our issues are a lot more serious than a website conversation. Not to mention that I’ve reached out to her many times in the beginning of this whole thing, as any wife would do. Unfortunately, I never succeeded in getting a response. The 1st time I meet AK, my husband introduced us to each other at an event. ( I have no choice but to call him my husband, until he is not anymore) In the messages that I sent to her (AK), I made it very clear that on the contrary of what she might be hearing, I am still married to my husband, living with him and just had a child. Its been two years and I still have not received a response. What I do receive, is constant displays of selfishness and disconcern to me and my son.

I was a fan of AK’s last album, we were both signed to J Records and I always checked up on her projects. I sang her songs and admired her for creating Superwoman and Karma, I would never deny her, her talent. I believed in her until I found out she was possibly sleeping with my husband. The affair was denied by both, until it was finally admitted months later.

Already I can hear some of you saying ” why are u blaming her, You cant make someone leave their wife, You cant break something thats broken”. Well, my marriage was not broken, as far as I knew we were celebrating our sons birth and getting ready to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary . Call it blind love, whatever. I call it being a devoted wife.. As far as me blaming her and not blaming him, thats false. Me and my husband have worked out our differences. We are in a good place as people and as parents. I accept his choices and I am comfortable enough with myself to move on. I am so very blessed in many ways.

My concern with AK is no longer the fact that she assisted in destroying a family but that she has the audacity to make these selfish comments about love and wanting to be with someone, even after knowing their situation. How is this the same Superwoman that I sang out loud with in my truck? I ask myself sometimes.

If you are reading this Alicia, let me start by saying, you know what you did. You know the role you played and you know how you contributed to the ending of my marriage. You know that I asked you to step back and let me handle my family issues. Issues that you helped to create.
Im not saying everything was perfect all the time but no relationship is perfect. We made a vow to God and I believe you should have respected that, as a woman. I know you owe me or my son nothing but I just wish you would’ve handled things more carefully. I’m not judging you, I put you and the whole situation in the hands of God, the Higher Power. Just know that as a woman, I expected so much more from you. I never had intentions on reaching out to you this way but after reading your twits tonight, and the constant disregard, you left me no choice. I feel that after 1 and a half years of you hiding this affair and acting like it doesnt exist, that now is the time to confront it, since you talk so openly about it now

This is not a publicity stunt, I dont have a record coming out. I just need to close this chapter in my life and that means confronting our issues. There is a small child involved. His dad loves him to death and he wants to spend more time with him but hes afraid because he knows we don’t have a relationship. This is my main concern. My son NEEDS his dad and I NEED to be comfortable with you. For him!

I know many will see my point and many will not be able to look into what’s real because they only want to see Alicia Keys the celebrity, not the human. This is not for the “people”, this is for you. Like I said I was left no choice but to reach out to you this way. By now, Im sure you want to find a balance in this as well.

I read your tweets tonight and I felt they were very insensitive. You have no idea how much pain I was caused because of this affair. Its baffling to me that you don’t understand what I might have gone through with this situation. I dont consider myself a victim anymore, Ive learned alot from this! I just ask you to try and be a bit more realistic and delicate to the situation, at least until my divorce is final. I felt me attending the party would have been a starting point for us, since you shook my hand after I offered it, but I suppose I was wrong.

If its so, that you and my husband are meant to be together, then God bless you both and I hope you never have to deal with what I did. I would not wish it on my worst enemy. If you two being together forever is the case, its more of a reason for us to get along, because I’m not going anywhere. Theres a child to be raised.

To answer your tweet, choose smart over spark. Sparks burn everyone, be smart! Its simple actually, just think of the shoe being on the other foot.

Stay blessed and lets work this thing out with respect and dignity.

Hmm. This is very interesting, very well said and respected, but still every interesting. If Necole Bitchie is correct, Mashonda and Alicia crossed paths a little more than a week ago and there was no drama. So I don't understand. Maybe MaShonda isn't contacting her the proper way. If she is doing this through letters, then don't expect a response. Personally, I think disputes such as this should be dealt with in person rather than behind computers or papers. Maybe Alicia owes MaShonda no explanation. Who knows. I mean this situation is a very deep one, life changing even. And what I've noticed that it followed a few tweets Alicia tweeted.

A in-studio debate sparked MaShonda's response. So I'm wondering why twitter of all places. Alicia did not drop any names, but of course it was assumed to be about Swiss. Did anyone notice the quotes around what she said, starting from top to bottom? There was a debate, there could have been more people involved and she tweeted the best response. Have anyone considered that? Maybe I'm the only one who noticed.

Then the act of judgment is recklessly thrown about in the internet world. Fans who were fans lost respect for Alicia Keys. They even called her a "homewrecker." But who are you to place judgment on someone in a situation you are not in. Or who are you to place judgment you do not directly know. I'm just saying. The internet is just an open forum for recklessness.

My ending statement. You're gonna love you you're gonna love. Doesn't matter who it is, and in what situation that person is in. It's all about how you handle it. But what do I know. I never been in love *shrugs*

New Vid | Melanie Fiona

THE VERDICT: DAMN!
That is all.

LOL. I mean did it have to end like that. Why wasn't his ass keeping his eye on the road? WTF.

Geesh, but the song itself give me chills. It's the dramatic beat along with her voice. WOOOOOOOO.

Interesting

One of my friends at school let me listen to this song. At first when I read the title I was like WTF. "Rock Goes Punk" this group singing "When I Grow Up" by the PussycatDolls. I thought it would sound incredibly wack and way too girly, especially for a rock group. But boy was I wrong.

It sounds better then the original song to be honest wit you. I loooooove the guitar in this. It was like they made the song their own. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT.

Check This Out . . .

I think this is pretty awesome. I wish I had the technology to do this. Anything word associated when trying to put a lyric video together is just great to me. Especially if they come out looking like this.

Video Spotlight | "Supernova"

Came across this little gem of a video on iTunes as I was searching for a particular song I can't find. I can't believe I never heard this song. I love it. It's pretty nice, well to me at least. Thought I should share this with yall, or myself, whichever is appropriate. *cough* myself *cough*

Mya On Dancing W/ The Stars

I'm not a fan of this show, so that mean I won't ever tune in. I'm particularly against the sing overs. Why don't they just use the original song and shut up. But YOU GO GIRL!! That was for Mya. I hope she at least makes it far on the competition. And look at Dmitry! I voted a few times for him when he was on So You Think You Can Dance. That guy can never keep his damn shirt on. LOL.

The dance was beautiful. So graceful and smooth. As for the singing, less than stellar. If that woman couldn't handle a Mariah Carey song then she shouldn't sing it. Her voice was too shaky for me. BUT KUDOS FOR TRYING. I COULDN'T! LOL.

New Vid | Amerie

THE VERDICT:: I really like this song after seeing the video. It was quite interesting to say the least, but in a good way. Pretty dark also. THUMBS UP

Song Of The Day

Makes me feel okay about not having a job. This song lifts my spirits every time I listen to it.

FMI - For My Information

As you can see, that's Trey performing on stage along side of Warren G. Apparently he's singing for Nate Dogg and he's appropriately dressed. What I wanna know is (A.) when the hell is the VH1 Hip Hop Honors coming on. (B.) What happened to my memo? I didn't see any advertisements about it until Trey tweeted that he was backstage. (C.) Why the hell is it pre-recorded? As much bullsh*t they show on Vh1, why can't they let a few curse words slip? Who cares. I just don't understand why it's pre-recorded.

But peeps lemme know so I can be in the know. LOL.

Update: Here's some video . . .

and photos . . .

Okay, I see you Trey -winks-. He looks nice, not as hip-hop as you would expect him to look for a hip-hop honors show. LOL. Way to show 'em out!

(insert flatline)

I really need to find and swipe the card (cause I have 5 dollars left in my account) for this magazine. I need this in my life. -faints-

WTF MOMENT

UH... WTF! NO COMMENT

Behind The Scenes | Chrisette Michele

I don't follow her music, but I do know some fans of hers so I wanted to post this for yall. Happy viewing.

Song Of The Day

I came across this song last week. I was cruising through iTunes and found this song by accident. Can I just say that I am in love? Something about this song, the melody, the way she sings, the lyrics, or maybe its all of those in one.

Favorite part: (2:58) "I am dying, Could you touch me again?" It's the only part when she changes her voice. I appreciate changes within the song. It was a surprise to me. It was the strongest part of the song.

Lyrics:

Wretched, look at me, I've lost it, melting on the table
In parking lots and markets
I cant help it, I love you like a starfish loves the salty water
Like a selfish daughter

Yet I wrote the words to the swan song
The author of the wrong
And I said what I said and I meant it
But now I regret it

Foolish, how was I so careless
Pawning off my treasure, the envy of an heiress
Now my dollars are crumbled in my pocket
How can I reclaim it?
What if someone's got it?

When I wrote the words to the swan song
The author of the wrong
And I said what I said and I meant it
But now I regret it

How could the world have turned so ugly
I am dying
Could you touch me again?
Touch me again

When I wrote the words to the swan song
The author of the wrong
And I said what I said and I meant it
But now I regret it

In Other News | Not That Yall Care . . .

When the hell did Chester, lead singer from Linkin Park, part ways from his group to create what you see below. RIDDLE ME THAT! -folds arms and taps foot- I am a huge, HUGE, fan of Linkin Park (never been to a concert but I'm still a fan.) So I need to figure this out.

Not a bad song. Actually I love this song, but I'm a bit confused. Thanks to MTV's website, I figured it all out. Take a look.

"We've got this song for 'Transformers,' and then sometime soon after this, Chester's going to be releasing a solo record called Dead by Sunrise, and that will be out towards the end of this year," Linkin Park MC Mike Shinoda said. "And then early next year there's going to be another Linkin Park record too. We've been writing a lot and all the stuff we've been experiencing and stuff we've seen — that stuff is all going into the songs. Over the next year or so, you're going to get a lot of different LP music, and I think you're going to get a lot of takes on everything that's been going on."

And that "different" music starts with Bennington's Sunrise, a long-in-the-works project that the singer says will finally see the light of day in September. And in keeping with what Shinoda was saying, Bennington is warning Linkin Park fans to prepare to be shocked by what they'll hear. Oh, and to fire up their black lights too.

"There's a stylistic thing that's different. With Linkin Park, we have a signature sound — you know it when you hear us. [Dead by Sunrise] does not have that feel. It has a completely different feel. Trying to describe that difference is like trying to describe the difference between Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin, you know?" he said. "They're both rock, but they're different styles. I'm confident in saying this next record is going to be the most challenging ... and complex and intriguing music that has come out of the Linkin Park camp. It's really dark. It's like post-apocalyptic 'Blade Runner' meets LSD."

Hmm I'm interested. Like I said I already like this song, and I love me some Chester, so I already know that I'll support it. I was just wondering, why the sudden change? Yall know I like my memos to be aware of things, I just came across this song by accident. I don't like surprises, but I'll adjust. LOL.

New Vid | Drake & Plies

THE VERDICT: -Blank Stare- Why the hell is Lebron James in that video, ain't that how you spell his name? Where is the relevance of that. This is the second time I seen him in a video and he ain't singing (thank God). And about Plies . . . I say no.

Love this song, the album it came from. UGH. The concept of it. Geesh. Good stuff.

Behind The Scenes | Amerie

Hmm ... can't wait to see the rest of this. I'm still on the fence about Amerie's change in style to this edgy stuff. I still think her first album is the best album. If only she could stick with that formual, but I guess not. Whoever is guiding her career, well I hope they know what they are doing to get Amerie some publicity.

A Poem | by Me

"Lovely Unhappiness"

The sun has disappeared
behind a blanket of darkness.
Floating orbs of orange light
hovered above tall silver posts.
The city is different at this hour.
Over the hill, out of the abyss
emerged a large rolling heap of metal,
rectangle in shape, long in length.
Stopping before her,
the doors opened with a hiss.
She felt its anger; she knew she shouldn’t board.
“Welcome aboard the MTA,”
an automated female’s voice called out to her
catching her off guard. She paused, mid-step
on the threshold for a moment.
With a shrug of her shoulders she took a step up.
Shuffling her feet, passing the standing cold bodies,
she found a seat, the perfect seat
in the far left corner, a place of good view.
The sudden propulsion threw her back.
Adjusting herself, leaning against the window,
she gazed out.
Ahead of her,
the outlines of tall, cloud sweeping buildings,
and checkered windows.
One lit, one dark and the pattern repeats.
She passed a neighborhood left in ruins.
Uncut grass stood like disheveled, spiked hair.
Letters of belonging scribbled on the sides
of fading red, brick walls.
The material remains of a playground
caught her ever wandering eye.
Broken swing seats, slowly swaying,
hanging from rusted chains.
The sweet smell of wasted alcohol tickled her nose.
The sound of hyena-like chatter brought her back in,
where an argument over space took place.
She blinked twice, then looked beyond
the budding narcissism with a smile upon her lips.
Complacent with the vacancy of her surroundings
and the vacancy of the minds surrounding her
The normalcy of the everyday
It’s her routine, what she was use to.
“Stop requested,” the female automated voice said again.
She stood, gathering her senses and stepped off.
With another hiss and a roar, the metal heap rolled away.
The heat of the exhaust caressed her face.

*another assignment for my poetry class due tomorrow. She wanted us to write about my take on society, human nature, routine and all that jazz. This is what I came up with.*

UPDATE: after a talk with my mother she thinks I should title it something simple. "Night Travels" cause that is what's ultimately going on.

They are a hot ass mess, but they are hilarious as hell for coming up wit this video. Lawd help me before I pass out from laughing.

Song Of The Day

I absolutely love this song. There's no one out there who can tell me any different. I am a fan of whatever sounds good to me. I am a fan of music. And this song fits sooooo well in my diverse iTunes library.

This is only a taste of the difference existing in my library.

Yeah that says Britney Spears. It ain't my fault that I like 3 of her songs off of that Circus album. Don't get it twisted, I dislike her wholeheartedly. LOL.

New Vids | Day26?

The f*ck! Where are all these damn videos coming from? Check em out.

::THE VERDICT:: WTF DAY26? WHAT ARE THEY DOING? THESE VIDEOS ARE CHEAP AS HELL. WHAT HAPPENED? DID THEY FALL FROM DIDDY'S GOOD GRACES? I DON'T GET IT. AND WHERE THE HELL DID ALL OF THESE VIDEOS COME FROM? SERIOUSLY. THEY JUST POPPING OUT WITH VIDEOS. BAD ENOUGH THEY MADE A VIDEO FOR "PERFECTLY BLIND" AND YEAH I WAS PERFECTLY BLINDED BY THAT BRIGHT ASS VIDEO. BUT STILL, I LOVE THAT SONG, THE VIDEO COULD'VE BEEN WAY BETTER, WAY WAY BETTER. I JUST DON'T GET IT.

As you can see, I yelled through all of that. LOL. It's just terrible, but enough about me, what do you think?

Song Of The Day

Well Isn't That A Co-inkydink (Coincidence)

Well . . . is there something that looks similar to you? LOL. It's as if they took the same picture with the same stylist and the same photographer. Or maybe only I can see that. But that is all. I just wanted to show you guys that.

It's Always Sunny . . .

OMG! I am so happy I went on YouTube and seen the ad for this show. I effing LOVE this show you guys! Before Twitter, I had TV and I loved it. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia is one of my favs. If you have never seen it, I suggest you tune in. I find it hilarious. Well, maybe you're idea of funny is different than mine, but still, I think you should try it. Sure its going into its 5th season, but that really doesn't matter. I have a theory when it comes to seasons of show. It doesn't matter. You just watch the show presented to you, and if you like it you would do your research and watch all the episodes/seasons you missed. I think its worth it, but its all up to you.

Preview of tonight's episode.

There are a few things about this show that I love. I read in a magazine (for like screen writers and stuff) and they showed how they set up how to write the show. The three young guys pictured in the video are the writers of the show. I love how the show opens. A situation occurs then the title proceeds. The title might seem dumb to you, but I always find it funny because it's so damn simple. Damn I wish I could find that article, I would share it with you guys.

(Promo from last season)

So tune in tonight at 10 on FX to watch the premiere with me. Don't leave me by my lonesome. LOL.

Just In My Opinion

an opinion that will be conversed EXCLUSIVELY to my self, since I no longer have any active participants on my blog. *side eye* Well, I went on Trey's website today to catch up on the news. *mhm, I say to myself* And I seen a post about these pictures below. *Yeah I saw them too, I say* WELL tell me why they, whoever posted that post, linked Sandra Rose's blog (where the pics came from) on there. *Rolls Eyes* So I'm wondering why would they post an obvious Trey hater on a Pro-Trey website. I felt the shade the minute I clicked on the link to get these pictures. UGH That woman makes me sick. So I was just curious if the people over at Treysongz.com knows about the opposition over there at Sandrarose.com. WHO KNOWS. I'm just saying. *Side eye* But anyway, I saved the pictures so you won't have to go over there and feel like you have to cut a bish. LOL.

**Trey @ The Velvet Room on Sunday for his album release party, I think*

Coolness

A few months ago, my bff William found this website and linked me to it. I am very suspicious of websites I know nothing about. Come on, VIRUSES ARE EVERYWHERE. But I clicked on the link, and I haven't regretted it since. I actually forgot about this site for a while. Now that it's back, I can't stop messing with it. It is so addictive. I love it.

This website is called aM laboratory. When you click on the link, look at the picture below and click on the appropriate boxes that I clicked on. Once all filled, yall will be able to hear a song I made. It's pretty cool.

You can also, if your lazy and don't want to click on the squares yourself, copy and paste these numbers on the black grid and it will play. It might sound a little messy depending upon the health of your computer.

Note: You're better off putting the boxes in yourself because if you copy and paste it will freeze your browser for a minute.

It's just so great, don't you agree?

Animated Creativity

man I am loving Kanye's blog. I'm discovering a new level of creativity over there. Great stuff.

I might have to add this song to my collection. I'm loving it. It's very left field, but the left field is where I live.

New Sounds | Amerie & Trey

((d[O.O]b)) "Pretty Brown Eyes"

In Case You Missed It . . .

Article courtesy of The New York Times

The question wasn’t if Trey Songz would strip down Tuesday night at the Highline Ballroom, but when. From the moment he took the stage — in a grayish tuxedo jacket, black shirt and black pants — the cover image from his third album, “Ready” (Atlantic), loomed over him on an oversize screen. In that stark black-and-white picture he’s shirtless, with six lines of prose tattooed in cursive on the left side of his chest and a six-pack of abdominals just below.

“We want Trey! We want Trey!” chanted the women — there were three of them in high heels for every young man in a collared shirt — in the mainly black crowd. Normally those are good odds for the boys, but Trey Songz transfixes like no other R&B singer of the day: more assured than Chris Brown, more relatable than Usher. By the time he took the stage, plenty of those women had kicked off the punishing heels they were wearing, all the better to pogo up and down for him.

But does being pretty suffice? “Ready” is one of the year’s most promising R&B albums, and a curious one at that. Given the choice between artful indirection and direct talk, Trey Songz will choose the literal every time. The first three songs on “Ready” are called “Panty Droppa,” “Neighbors Know My Name” (from all the screaming, that is) and “I Invented Sex.” The results are bawdy but never lecherous; sometimes all his enthusiastic bedroom talk has an air of childlike goofiness to it, as if he were thrilled to get away with boasting so freely.

On Tuesday, during a convincing but almost too-smooth performance, Trey Songz sang material from “Ready” almost exclusively. “LOL :-),” an ode to the erotic potential of mobile communication technology, was loopy and lighthearted. “Successful,” his duet with his friend the rising rapper Drake had more bite than the recorded version.

Other songs were notable by their absence. He skipped the sinuous 2007 “Can’t Help but Wait,” his biggest hit and by far his finest song. And there was no “D.O.A. Kellz,” his reimagining of Jay-Z’s “D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)” as an assault on R. Kelly’s streetwise-R&B crown. (Instead there was “Say Aah,” the most Kellyesque song from the new album. It sounds like a job application.)

That act of attempted patricide reflected Trey Songz’s growing stature, but also his hubris. He’s dapper, charming and utterly confident: almost enough to balance out a voice that’s limber but not particularly deep. Onstage he behaved like someone trying on stardom and hoping everyone thinks it fits, never once letting down his guard.

When he finally did peel off his shirt, just before his last song — the Prince-like “Yo Side of the Bed” — it was less titillation than self-fulfilling prophecy, not that it mattered to those vibrating madly in the audience.

“If I give this to you, baby,” he said, addressing no one in particular, “you’ve got to sleep with me every night.” Then he surveyed the crowd, looked several women in the eye and tossed the shirt casually into the scrum. The ensuing warfare, at least, was beyond question.

The Funny Of The Day

brought to you by Young, Black, and Fabulous

Diddy and his booty buddy Assie were spotted having a post-VMA walk around NYC this morning. And as soon as Diddy spotted the paps, he covered his face like we don’t know it’s his ass strolling the streets with homegirl:

What are you hiding from Diddy? We all know the damn deal. I guess industry chicks these days are good with only being “public” as far as the bedroom
. Damn…

lmao ... this is the second time I seen a report about Diddy and Cassie together on that website and its still funny.

New Vid | Ester Dean (Feat. Chris Brown)

::THE VERDICT:: Forget the girl, I am glad to see Chris Brown finally doing what he's best at, dancing. You all know how I feel about negative things, so the fact that he's doing something positive is great, forget how you may feel about this issue. So save your ill feelings.

Moving on, the girl, I suppose she's a writer, IDK, but her voice when she was talking to Nelly was annoying. Sounded like nails on a chalkboard, but at least her singing voice didn't sound anything like that.

I like the video, BUT didn't like the clips of Lebron James. I don't see the relevance here, so I want to call that into question. Why is he in it? Is she from where he from? I would like if someone could clear that up for me.

Poem | By Me

I wanted to be different and write about something I know nothing about. The contents of this poem is purely fictional, I repeat, fictional. Enjoy

“A Vein Decision”

I wish I could have listened to my conscience
But my mind, manipulated, has been thrown off balance
This relationship we have doesn’t exist
But the thoughts seem to persist
At times the positive outweighs the negative, but it’s still negative
Again I am caught, kept away as your helpless captive
The deceptiveness
The thought that you’re all that I need, this blindness
maybe I'm just clumsy
I fall in headfirst, can't escape the disappointment so it seems
It stalks me, even follows me into my dreams
So I ask what good is a promise
When you know you can't keep a promise
You’re suppose to make me forget
But I wake up feeling waves of regret
This sickness I have for you is illicit
Lost in your addictive orbit
Our love has been revealed
My heart left open unable to heal
My family removed me from this toxic connection
It did nothing to resolve the tension
Broke and alone nowhere to go
and loneliness is killing me slow
My quiet nights are longer
But this suffering, they say, is what it takes to get better, stronger
And just when I thought I couldn’t wait another minute
There you sit, asking for another visit.
