Poem | by Me

Well this is strictly for class purposes. My teacher wanted us to create a poem that has a line or a word in another language. This was the best I could do, being that I do not know how to speak in another language. For this exercise, I had to make use of a online translator. So check this poem out. Let me know what you all think.


Fake

Love me for who I am.
Not who I pretend to be.
A charade, but it’s all for you,
for one reason
Yo le soy espantado me se olvidará.

I’m not sure if you know who I am.
Why must I pretend to be someone else?
But I have it all figured out
for one reason.
I’m scared you will forget about me.

No makeup and casual clothes is who I am.
Lip stick, dresses, and heels,
I put them on anyway
for one reason.

I boost myself up, polish my personality
Because you like interesting women
I will get your attention
for one reason.
I’m scared you will forget about me.

How far down on your list am I really?
Low priority status is not what I strive to be.
I want to be; no, I need to be number one
for one reason.

When all is lost, I am still hopeful.
I’ll be whatever you want.
I’ll gladly be your last resort

I wish you could love me for who I am.
Not who I pretend to be.
Watch as I contradict myself once more.
But I do it for one reason.
