Song Of The Day
I was up watching Criminal Minds one night because its one of my favorite shows. I can't think of the episode, but it opened with a particular song that caught my attention. The instruments and the voice. And thanks to google, tvguide.com and heardontv.com I later found out the song was called:
Citizen Cope - Penitentiary
I couldn't find a download link so I had to purchase it on iTunes, but I say its a great buy.

ListenUP | The Script
So ... I am a Last.fm user. And I listen to my recommendations to discover music I haven't yet, and one day I came across this little gem here. The Script, a group from Dublin, Ireland. Yes I know, what the hell am I doing listening to them. I don't know. Like I said I listened to my recommended songs on Last.fm and based off of what I listened to. Because of that, I was introduced to The Script. And I ask ... WHERE HAVE THEY BEEN ALL OF MY LIFE?!
Listen to "Fall For Anything" (first absolute favorite song)
It took THAT one song to make me want to search them up on iTunes and purchase, purchase, PURCHASE. Their album is self-titled and it is AMAZING. I don't say that about too many albums. There was just this effortless blend of good music. I love the lead singer's voice. It's just so . . . authentic and unexpected. It's something about an unexpected voice that throws you off in a good way. It caught me hook line and sinker. It's the type of voice that makes you listen.
Then a few night following my introduction to them, I surfed through my channels and landed on MTV at 4 a.m. To my surprise, they played a video from The Script.
"Breakeven" (My second absolute favorite song)
I didn't know they were that popular. It's great to see a group deserving of such popularity on TV with videos. Then to find out that they had MORE videos just made my flipping day.
And all of this happened because I opened myself up to music I usually don't listen to. Give a song a chance, it could be the next great song on your list of favorites.

iTunes Playing . . .
This weeks new sounds . . . according to Sabrina's iPod.
I know, I know. I am late listening to certain artists or certain CDs. I like to approach music at my own pace, which is pretty rapid if you ask me. I cycle music daily and I'm constantly looking for new music. I have to. It is part of my process. Sue me. *kanye shrug*
So you ask, what do I have playing in my iTunes this month. Well allow me to share. I have these Current Obsession playlists set up by the month. There are a few additions to my iPod that I listen to repeatedly and I tend to group them in a playlist. It's pretty productive if you ask me. It's easier to give all new music you add in a certain month enough time to be played and enjoyed before you move on to the next hottest thing in music.
Works for me.

Captain's Log Stardate 01162010
To whom this may concern,
I'm aware that I no longer have the blog follow base that I use to have when I first started this blog. And as of late, I slacked off on my posts. But I did it for one simple reason, no one was LISTENING. Hence the title of my blog. Because no one else cared, I no longer cared.
It's sad actually, because you can't necessarily have a blog that no one is paying attention to. It's counterproductive. Now I realize that I shouldn't care about who's commenting or not. In this case, NOT. To say the least, I'm disappointed in A LOT of people.
But whatever. I won't complain. No more harassing mofos to read my blog. That is no longer me. It isn't important. Listen at your own free will, if you so choose to.
Back to my regularly scheduled programming . . .

StoryTrack | Heavy Hearts (music 4 @Ur_AddictionXx)
New story. New music.
It was particularly difficult finding music that fit this story perfectly. So idk. I had songs in mind, but since I didn't write them down at the time I listened to them, they are lost in translation.
Kill Hannah - They Can't Save Us Now
Laura Veirs - Wrecking
Rachel Yamagata - Quiet

StoryTrack | Gravity (New Story)
This is the same for the rest of the posts I put up. Same thought process. The music just fits in ways no one will understand because my blog is vacant and I'm basically talking to myself.
Sara Bareilles - Gravity
New Birth - Wildflower
Hope - The Rain

StoryTrack | Dead End (New Story)
..::MY 400TH POST. YIP YIP. NOT THAT IT MATTERS::..
Here are my choices for this story's soundtrack, or as I say, StoryTrack. Both hold some sort of significance to both parts of this particular story. Sure none of you will understand what I hear and how it relates to the story, but just listen (if anybody is listening).
J. Cole - Can I Live
Kerli - Bulletproof
