I was up watching Criminal Minds one night because its one of my favorite shows. I can't think of the episode, but it opened with a particular song that caught my attention. The instruments and the voice. And thanks to google, tvguide.com and heardontv.com I later found out the song was called:

So I saw this song tweeted in my timeline and I was like "John Mayer, okay cool. I like him. I prolly won't regret clicking on the link." So when I clicked . . . this song, from the minute it played, made my life for the rest of the day. It is just that awesome. The beginning. That xylophone sound, idk what it is, but I love it. And then his voice is in its own category, that's how unique it is. Another reason why I was so drawn to the song. And the fact that the song is called Assassin. POW. I'm in love. Take a listen and fall in love too.

Yeah its a snippet because the rest of the song is sh*t. Gucci Mane is on it ... he's worse than Soulja Boy. F*CK OUTTA HERE WIT THAT. The snippet was dope as sh*t and then I finally heard the full song and it took away from what I initially loved about it. I'm feeling horrible now. It's like watching a dog run out into the street only to get hit and turned into road kill. That is what this song is like now after the release of the whole song. No Bueno. I'll keep the snippet.

I use to be a MAJOR Lil Wayne fan, pre-autotune. And I just fell off . . . way off. On occasion I still bump The Carter 1, 2, & 3. He USE to be the artist with the most music in my iPod. Trey Songz took over that effortlessly. But this song here. Hmm. It might make me like him again. I'll keep my distance from his potent ass, but I need to find out what this "No Ceilings" mixtape is about. That shows how much I fell off. I usta know all about Wayne's music and when it comes out. Now, I'm at a lost. I got some catching up to do.
