Sometimes . . . I Wish I Were A Kid Again

As I said in previous posts regarding cartoons, I miss the 90s with a strong passion. TV now, well today's cartoons, is garbage. Maybe they lost that spark now that I'm older -cough- 21 -cough-. And I'm left to reminisce about what I use to enjoy as a child. Early this morning @ 5 maybe 5:30 I was up watching old Disney cartoons on Youtube. A conversation, starting on twitter between Joniesha (@joniesha22) and Tiffany (@beyond_beauty25) about old GOOD Disney movies, drove me to Youtube in search of video clips. ANYTHING. I needed something to remind me of what I use to watch on TV. And I sat there listening to Aaliyah's version of "Journey To The Past" which is in the Disney movie Anastasia, nearly 2 seconds away from being in tears. You know ... memories get to me. Old times. Reaching back for something I'll never have again. But to be able to still get a glimsp back in time is good enuff for me.

And I will share them with you. Thats what I do, I share. Come on this journey with me.

Speaking of TV

I miss the days when Cartoon Network use to play old cartoons on Sunday nights, years ago. You know what I'm talking about. The Tex Avery cartoon hour. I watched it religiously. All the Bugs Bunny and friends cartoons. I miss all of that.

....I don't wanna talk about it. I'm just gonna show you before I get anymore upset.











MGM and WB use to be the s**t ... RIP good cartoons. I will forever miss you on TV. That's why I love YouTube.

When I Reminice Over You....

I miss the 90's more than I could put into words. I miss the music, the TV ...everything. With time, all of those things that I once love has disappeared, never to be regenerated again. I should stop before I start tearing up.

Yes people are you as excited as I am?! FUTURAMA IS COMING BACK WITH 26 BRAND NEW EPISODES!!! Can you say 'dream come true?'

Futurama has been renewed for 26 more episodes. It's all thanks to the support from the reruns on Comedy Central and the DVD sales mid to late last year up until now.

Here's what 20th Century Fox TV Chairmen Gary Newman and Dana Walden said in a joint statement according to Entertainment Weekly.com

"When we brought back Family Guy several years ago, everyone said that it was a once in a lifetime thing -- that canceled series stay canceled and cannot be revived. But Futurama was another series that fans simply demanded we bring back, and we couldn’t have been happier when Matt and David agreed that there were many more stories yet to tell."

The show is scheduled to air in early 2010. I'll be here counting down the days.
