Song Of The Day

Sometimes . . . I Wish I Were A Kid Again
As I said in previous posts regarding cartoons, I miss the 90s with a strong passion. TV now, well today's cartoons, is garbage. Maybe they lost that spark now that I'm older -cough- 21 -cough-. And I'm left to reminisce about what I use to enjoy as a child. Early this morning @ 5 maybe 5:30 I was up watching old Disney cartoons on Youtube. A conversation, starting on twitter between Joniesha (@joniesha22) and Tiffany (@beyond_beauty25) about old GOOD Disney movies, drove me to Youtube in search of video clips. ANYTHING. I needed something to remind me of what I use to watch on TV. And I sat there listening to Aaliyah's version of "Journey To The Past" which is in the Disney movie Anastasia, nearly 2 seconds away from being in tears. You know ... memories get to me. Old times. Reaching back for something I'll never have again. But to be able to still get a glimsp back in time is good enuff for me.
And I will share them with you. Thats what I do, I share. Come on this journey with me.
Dumbo - Pink Elephants
The Jungle Book - Bare Necessities
Hercules - I Won't Say I'm In Love
Aristocats - Everyone Wants To Be A Cat
Pocahontas - Colors Of The Wind
Man Disney had some great songs in their movies. I miss that.
I'll save the rest for next week, make sure yall remind me.

Ms Keri

Keri Hilson's interview via Complex Magazine:
Keri Hilson: I wanted to do an album that expressed a woman’s true thoughts and true feelings about certain situations that we go through. I thought that was missing—the truth part. People do songs that paint themselves as perfect. Like they don’t do this or that: “No, you can’t say this to me or do this to me.” It’s more like storytelling for some people as opposed to exposing who they are, and allowing people to relate to them. That’s what I wanted to accomplish—I wanted to touch people in ways that I was touched. I wanted it to be relatable.
Did that desire to be relatable as an artist come from you personally?
Keri Hilson: Absolutely. I wrote the majority of the album. There were two songs that I had nothing to do with, on the writing end. They’re “Change Me” and “Energy.” Really, I just won’t sing a song if I don’t feel that way.
Really? What about the song with Keyshia Cole (“Get Your Money Up”)?
Keri Hilson: Now, there are things about that song that represent the gold-digger, the Atlanta chick mentality. Or at least the perception that people have of Atlanta girls—and in some ways, it’s true.
That’s not particular to Atlanta girls, that’s the mainstream.
Keri Hilson: Yeah, OK. Women today.
Is that Keri Hilson?
Keri Hilson: Not at all. I’m closer to the girl on [Timbaland’s] “The Way I Are.” You don’t have to buy me drinks or bottles, don’t flaunt—take your swag off. We can go Dutch. I’m more into a man’s intellect, more into a guy who can enlighten me. I don’t want to sit here and talk about your bank account. What’s important is that you have goals, and you’re mobile.
Forwardly mobile.
Keri Hilson: Yes! Upwardly would be status. Forward is just driven, motivated. I know lots of good girls who think like me. Unfortunately, I think it’s hard for men to change the way they think because there are so many women who... [Laughs.] The number one reason men acquire money is for women. Or to acquire things to get them more women.

I for one can appreciate these pictures. Yall know me. I'm a pretty artsy person. I mean if yall didn't know then check back to all my Creative Thursday posts. But anyway. . . I like these picks because of the detail put into the background. It's more up my alley cause I looks like everything was handwriten and whatnot. I like that style. Thats why I spend so much time on dafont.com under the handwriting section looking for fonts that look like WELL DUH handwriting. I have tons of t-shirts that have that same theme. That is why I'm posting these pics today. CAUSE I LOVE EM AND THE STYLE OF EM!

My WTF Moment
I don't know what scares me more. The fact that Cassie shaved the side of her head or the fact that her stylist made it look like this and she allowed it.

I don't know about yall, but I like Cassie actually. Mainly because I based my character, Sidney, off of her look (pre side shaved head). But ever since she shaved the side of her head .... chiiiiild ... no comment. I really need her to grow her hair back cause if she gonna do this to her hair then she just needs to go somewhere. It's scary looking isn't it? I think she needs a better stylist, who ever is in charge of her looks needs to be FIRED. SMH. And if she did this her self ... she needs help. LOL.

Gah!!! I Just Love Watching Them Dance
Jabawockeez - Freak A Zoid on So You Think You Can Dance
My favorite part starts up at 0:21 ... OMG I love it. I wish I could do all that waving with my arms.
Robert Murraine <---THIS GUY!!
Damn youtube and their f**king restrictions. They best be lucky someone wants to look at their cruddy website after all the s**t they put me thru. I just wanted this video and them dummies removed it. GRRRRR o_O
Travis & Heidi (So You Think You Can Dance season 2)
The dance start at 1:32. My favorite part is when Travis nearly breaks his back on that bench. It was so on point and with the music.
Neil & Sabra (SYTYCD Season 3)
Hok & Jamie (SYTYCD Season 3) The Flower and The Hummingbird
Kameron & Lacey (Season 3)
Lacey & Sabra
I don't think alot of people got this dance. But I did, and I loved it. I mean if they were paying attention they would understand but people don't pay much attention these days.
Benji & Travis
I think the beginning of this video is so cute, even tho it deserves a pause. The whole flipping part is a pause, but I don't care. It's still my favorite. I don't care what none of yall say. This is before the pause thing and the no homo shit started. Grrr I dislike those words pause and no homo ... don't get me started.
To save yall the time I'm gonna end my favorite dances here, and continue on another day. Stay tuned.
